Why I do What I Do

I am an accomplished divorce/family/domestic relations mediator who has been awarded Jefferson County Mediation Services Divorce (Family) Mediator of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2016. I have helped Denver University graduate students Conflict Resolution Institute master’s degree program. I have facilitated to agreement, hundreds of divorcing and post decree conflict cases in Colorado.

As a child, I witnessed my father slander my mother during their malicious court divorce. I was a young boy caught in the middle of a toxic situation. This adverse experience prompted me to advocate for children in the divorce scenario. I recognize that the mediation process is swifter and produces significantly less animosity between parties compared to court regulated divorce. The result is happier, less stressed families. As a mediator, I have demonstrated skill in leading divorcing parties to negotiate sensibly with the best interests of their children in mind. Additionally, I have demonstrated skill in helping parties creatively divide property or liabilities the other part to divorce that is sometimes equally important.

Since I am interested in keeping the children out of the crossfire I have taken advanced training in Parenting Coordinator/Domestic Relations Decision Maker (PC/DM) and now am helping parents in a new direction.
